Old Blog

I kept a personal blog from 2008-2014. I never got over being uncomfortable with posting personal writing while keeping a corporate gig and experiencing the evolution of my writing from the MFA.  My favorite thing about that blog was the bio:

Insert Impressive Bio Here

This is the page where I am supposed to list the things that people, more specifically, entities of people (otherwise known as corporations), have paid me to do, followed by the name of the educational entity that I paid to qualify me to do such things. The function of this is to enable you to put the entire being that is me into a nice tidy box in your mind (which is only a small part of the entire being that is you), thereby satisfying your mind's need to know that I am indeed qualified to write such things as are written here.

Here are a few highlights.

Art Journal

My writing practice changed drastically in 2014 when I started making art. My daily proprioceptive writing practice turned to art journaling, and I put the memoir aside. I'm having way to0 much fun with visual creative work to pick it up again now. It may re-emerge in years to come as a multidisciplinary project.

I  did a visual project called Nice Girl Speaks, which ran its course.

At Simply Hired, I was given a bit of latitude to write about personal experiences relevant to job seekers. Since Simply Hired was acquired by Indeed, my name has been removed from these posts. A few here:
